Brisbane Festival is a curated multi-arts festival traditionally held across venues and sites throughout Brisbane over three weeks each September. In 2020, it was the first approved public event during the COVID19 pandemic and presented a bold and completely reimagined immersive programme that brought art, music and performance to all of the Brisbane community.
We designed and built four incredible traveling stages, each with their own identity, and dressed multiple venues across Brisbane for a big beautiful party!
2020 also brought a wonderful inclusion to our work; producing The Messengers of Brisbane public art installations across the city by renowned Netherlands artist Florentijn Hofman – a flock of 7m inflatable Gouldian Finches created especially for Brisbane Festival, and curated seven gorgeous Finchy Fun activities for online and workshop activation.
